Compete allows users to easily view reach and traffic data for up to 5 sites at one time, going back the most recent 12 months, on a domain and sub-domain level.  Traffic charts can be exported for data manipulation in excel.  Additional attention data, such as time-spent, is also available for comparison.

Quantcast allows users to view site audience traffic statistics broken down by geography (by City, State, U.S., and International) and by time period (day, week, or month) on a domain and sub-domain level.  Demographic and Lifestyle data per site audience is also  available, broken down by age, sex, income level, and interests.  Limited additional audience behavior insight is listed, including related search and web browsing activity.

Google Ad Planner is a media planning tool that allows users to define a target audience, view relevant websites, build a media plan, and analyze the potential reach of a defined campaign.  Target audience can be defined by demographic characteristics and online activity (including web browsing and search behavior).  Pre-defined targets can also be loaded, such as “baseball enthusiast”, which sets pre-determined variables for both demographics and online activity.  Resultant sites are listed with reach, composition, and limited advertising details such as ad-size and ad-type.  Individual site profiles are available displaying site traffic, demographic, and psychographic data, though no sub-domain level viewing is available at this time.

In addition to research tools, Google Ad Planner provides an interface to select sites and see the potential audience reach results of a full media plan.  The cumulative demographic profile of the aggregate site audience is also displayed.
